Since the signing of the Affordable Care Act in 2010, more than 30million American’s previously without health insurance coverage have been able to obtain healthinsurance (Blumenthal, 2015). With more Americans with health insurance, the demand forhealthcare will continue to grow as they are now able to seek out medical care outside of goingto the Emergency Room including primary care providers.Another significant driver in healthcare delivery is the growth of the aging population,more specifically, the Baby Boomer generation, Americans born between 1946 and 1964. BabyBoomers now account for over 30% of the US population and it is estimated that the number ofMedicare-eligible population will have almost doubled from 35.1 million in 2000 to close to 70
