Eubanks 1 Bailey Eubanks Mr. Reiter English 1304 March 25, 2008 Issue Proposal Unit 4: Cloning Technology today is growing at an expediential rate. There are many new waves of the era, but on the brink of medicinal innovation is cloning. “A clone is an individual organism grown from a single body cell of its parent, making it a genetic duplicate of the parent.” This process, Cloning has become a issue throughout the world. The sides to the issue include: The moral, ethical and religious versus the scientific, curing argument. Ethical religious viewers state that it is Gods place to create people and not humans. They also state that cloned children may not be born with a sole, while not having any true parents. The scientist’s argument is simple, cloning technology can provide embryonic stem cells. These in turn can re-grow organs, and cure many incurable diseases. Is this research such a bad thing? Do the scientists have the right to morally produce genetic copies of humans? My stance with this issue, it is apparent to me that there definitely is a issue in
