TEAM B ROLE IDENTIFICATION 2 Team B Role Identification In today’s society with the changing aspects of the world’s business development and structures there must be rules and guidelines to follow. The rules and guidelines that organizations follow allow the organization to practice ethical values, morals, and beliefs. These rules also allow organizations to possess a workforce with productive behaviors, high employee job satisfaction, and low turn-over rates. Productive behavior is the employee behavior that contributes to the organization in a positive way to meet the objectives and goals set by the organization (Jex & Britt, 2008). Job satisfaction includes three items: feelings, thoughts, and the behaviors employees have toward his or her jobs ( Fishbein, 1979 as cited in Jex & Britt, 2008). Ethics within organizations determines how the organization functions with their employees, stakeholders, and customers. Ethics are, “the principles, norms, and standards of conduct governing an individual's or organization's ethics form the bases for determining the correct action, or moral behavior, in a particular situation” (Trevino & Nelson, 2007, p. 13). New organizations in today’s business environment must ensure that the company’s rules, guidelines, and goals are ethically sound. One of the major steps for organizations in accomplishing the goal of successful teamwork is recruiting the right individuals. During the recruiting phase organizations seek individuals with the educational background, skills, and experiences for enhancing the organizations’ ability to grow and profit. The organization also wants the individuals to understand and practice critical thinking and decision making. Organizational managers who understand the effects of following rules and guidelines will be productive forces for the organization. Managers with the right educational levels, skills, and experiences who use his or her abilities of critical thinking in the decision-making process are more valuable and successful within their organizational structure and teams. Organizations that grow and profit have one thing in common: leadership understands the roles and responsibilities in creating and maintaining a healthy organizational culture for the success of the organization. Leaders must come up with innovative ideas to maintain a healthy

Leaders must understand when employees in the organization follow the organization’s mission, goals, and policies moral will be high. Organizations who want profits and success must ensure the right individual works the right job. These individuals must understand the descriptions and expectations the job role requires.
