After reading the literature on information literacy in Module 1 and the “At Sea in a Deluge of
Data” article I now have a better understanding of what it is. In my eyes I would define information
literacy as having the ability to being able to ask a question, find the information, analyze the
information and finally be able to communicate what you have learned effectively. I believe that
information literacy is going to be a very important part of our future here at Ashford University. How
we ask questions and find we find the answers will have a huge part in our success. In my eyes, I find that
information literacy and digital literacy go hand in hand so a certain degree. Some of your information
literacy skills will overlap the use of your digital literacy. Before taking both Information Literacy and
Digital Literacy courses, I did consciously connect the two. I know that my above stamen may seem like
