PSYCHOLOGY 310: STUDY GUIDE FOR QUIZ 1 AND TEST 1 For Quiz 1 (February 1 st ): The pages specified below from 1 FULL RECORD . In addition you will have to know the lecture notes of the previous two class periods. For Test 1 (February 6 th ): The pages specified below from 1 FULL RECORD + 2 FULL RECORD . In addition you will have to know all the lecture notes until the last class meeting before the Test. This document contains four pages. GENERAL GUIDELINES 1. Try grasping the concepts rather than memorizing definitions. 2. You do NOT have to memorize the names of researchers and the dates associated with them -- e.g., Watson (1924) on page 20 of 1 FULL RECORD. Nonetheless, you MUST read and understand the work they did. A question about some researcher’s work (say, Warren & Warren, 1970) will contain enough information for you to know what I am talking about – that is, if you have read the stuff closely. 3. Do NOT wait until the night before the quiz or test to read this stuff. It is a bit challenging and you have to read and reflect on this stuff. Obviously you are the best judge of what works best for you . Nevertheless, I strongly recommend you start reading this material as soon as possible. Read say, 2 or 3 pages a day – think about it, and then proceed to the next few pages. 4.
