I will be building a coffee shop called R&R Coffee Central. It will be a nice, relaxing, hangout place for customers to purchase coffee and it will have a drive thru window to order coffee if you’re either busy or just in a rush to get to work. It will be targeted towards married couples with families between the ages of 35-54 with a middle class income. I have chosen five different cities throughout the United States (U.S.) which include Columbus, Dallas, New York, Anaheim and Denver. The reason I chose Dallas, TX as one of the cities for my potential business location is because there are a bunch of good independent coffee shops in Dallas that could make good competition for R&R Coffee Central. (D Magazine, 2011). I chose New York, NY has another potential location for my business because it is known for being one of the most highly populated cities in the U.S. which means more potential customers for my coffee shop. Anaheim and Denver also seemed to be good cities to place my coffee shop because they both are fun cities with a lot of things going on so placing a coffee shop in either of those two locations benefit the cities and my business. I have collected data for each of the cities based on a few demographic variables that are geared towards my particular target market. The demographic variables are as follows age (35-54), gender (both male and female), median household income (50k-75k), population growth, race with the highest population, total population, commuting to work (car, truck van, drove alone) and husband-wife family. Using the data gathered, it will help me narrow down the choices and give me the best option to choose where I will place my new coffee shop. It is important to figure out the best place to build the shop based on the demographic variables listed below. That way you have a better and higher chance once the coffee shop opens and it is bringing a steady revenue in. The results of the data from each of the five cities will ultimately give me the information that is
