D’Agnilli 1 Michael D’Agnilli Comp 1 Dr. Cheznik 4 March 2008 “Cheaters never prosper, but they often get away with it” “I was thrown out of college for cheating on the metaphysics exam; I looked into the soul of the boy sitting next to me” Woody Allen. Do the ends ever justify the means? That is the corner stone of the cheating issue. Dose getting an A on the final to pass the class for the year justify cheating on the test to achieve said goals? This is a very controversial debate that has no clear cut answers. Like every other controversial topic there are the extremists on either sides of the issue, and then there is the majority in between leaning toward one side or the other. In this case the principal of Philadelphia High School West, Herman Miller, is our extremist that is in favor of cracking down on students who are cheating and plagiarizing with severe consequences. On the opposite side of the issue is Brad Cohen, columnist for The Cavalier Daily, the school
