Lab 3:MEASURINGFrancis DuruakuJune 6, 2021Introduction:The purpose of this lab is to measure gravity's acceleration in three differentmethods. The acceleration due to gravity is 9.8 m/s2 at sea level, however it varies depending onelevation and latitude. In this lab, we start by dropping a plastic strip with alternating black andclear stripes. This allows it to fall freely, and then we use a timer to manually clock how long ittook the object to hit the ground. The experiment is next repeated, but this time we use aphotogate timer to measure the results. Because the item is in free fall in both circumstances, theequation y=1/2gt2 will be employed. After performing both measurements a few more times, wewill calculate the average value for g and the average value of uncertainty by comparing whichgraphs indicate a more accurate value using a velocity versus time graph and an accelerationversus time graph. An inclined plane and a photogate timer are employed in the second portion
