Over the break I went to a play that my sister was in at ther elementary school. The play was of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream , and she was the part of Titania. The play was put on by sixth graders, so it was not as professional as an actual play. However, givin the fact that they were all 13 and 14 year-old kids, I would say that they did a very good job. This play obviously ties into our class given the fact that it is an actual Shakespearean play. I have never seen this production put on live before, so it was very interesting to me how they would go about doing the scenes, especially the ones in the magical forest. Unformatted text preview: very detailed and they had accents of real trees and leaves which really brought it to life. The costumes were all so beautiful and they even had a custom made donkey head for Bottem the Weaver. Overall I thought that the kids did an extremely good job putting on this play. They all got really into their characters and rarely forgot any of their lines. Watching this play made me realize that Shakespeare is not really as difficult as it seems to be. And since it was taken from a written play you are able to add in little things to make it easier for the audience to understand....
