Brittany Stone Phil 102 Dr. Peldo 14 March 2008 Argumentative Essay Should Gay Marrige Be Legal? As a child growing up we were always taught that men should marry women and women should marry men. However that is not the case for a large number of people in our nation. There are many homosexuals in our world that are in love, but have no way to really prove it to the world because in most states they are unable to be wed. I have also grown up being told that we live in a nation that is basically the melting pot of the world. We except and recognize every race and practically every religion, so why can’t we accept homosexuals as well? We are supposed to be living in a country where we have the right to choose, but in all reality we really do not. If we had the right to choose, then homosexuals would be able to be married. The government should not be able to have a say in whom you can or cannot love. I believe that love is love and it does not matter whom it is for. Just because you love
