modest costuming costumes have earth tones too warm, dim lighting at night in the house rustic house (mill) in woodsy setting creaky doors firelight by night in the house captain works/sleeps in the basement lots of machinery down there first shot of him down there is with a magnifying lens in his eye, makes him look  like the machines working on his watch more dim lighting smoking a cig night scene outdoors seems cold lots of blues, greens, greys, blacks very dark outside moonlight lights the scene

first use of violence by captn bottle, then pistol loud cracks as the gun is fired  dark in the house at night, lots of blues and greys fairy/bug still maintains is brown hue Ofelia’s jacket and book still have their color too bug transforms into a fairy moon over the lab as they go into it brown path b/w grayish blue stone walls of the lab gray stone steps spiral down more earth tones at the bottom of staircase Pan wakes up, very old looking, grungy and Earthy Looks as if his skin is old bark Old creaky movements Blue light over Pan and Ofelia Must finish 3 tasks when the moon is full Pan recedes into the shadows, covered by blackness Very earthy
