The role of the student is to pay attention in the seminars,textbooks, and instructions, ask questions, and study for tests on theirown to perform well. In this case, students do what the instructorassigns them to do. The communication here is more one-way.Otherwise, active learning is when the classes require more than justlistening to the professor, students are deeply involved in practiceactivities, discussion forums, and peer assessment.
