Zocor is a medication used to treat mild hypercholesterolemia, simply put it helpslowers the bad cholesterol and fats like LDL and triglycerides, while raising the good cholesterol“HDL” in the blood. Toprol is a bet-blocker most commonly used in the treatment of high bloodpressure. GERD is short for gastroesophageal reflux disease, also known as heart burn or acidindigestion. It affects the lower esophageal sphincter, between the esophagus and stomach, whichallows the acids in your stomach used to break down food flow back up in to the esophagus. Totreat GERD, proton pump inhibitors such as omeprazole (Prilosec) are used to reduce the amountof stomach acid made by the glands in the lining of the stomach. All of these medications havetheir own nutrient interactions, which could interfere with each other.
