Brittany Duch PSYC 101 March 22, 2008 Case Study 2 For my second case study I observed my own behavior on a night that I went out with my friend, Sierra, during Spring Break in Florida to a bar with her and a few people that we had met that week. Sierra’s father introduced us to a few guys and girls that were around our age. We would hang out with them during the days and nights. Most of the time we would go to the beach and have a few drinks. At night, we would go out to the bars and drink there as well. Alcohol really seems to be reoccurring and huge theme for many people around my age. I figured that I would observe my own behavior when I was drinking. I knew that it would be a great time to do so because I didn’t really know these people and I could see if the alcohol really had an impact on me socially. I wanted to see if I would make any choices that I usually would not make. I learned to notice quite a few things that I usually did not and realized my behavior was definitely different than normal. One of the first nights we went out to a bar. I didn’t really know these people and I was being less than talkative. I spoke when spoken to but didn’t really bring up any topics of conversation. I sat with my legs crossed most of the time and didn’t make very many movements. I played around with my hair quite a lot. I felt a little anxious and weird at times. I kept reapplying my lip-gloss. I kept playing with my shirt. I kept a
