BoldFlash As I read through BoldFlash: Cross-Functional Challenges in the Mobile Division , I jotted down structural issues that stood out to me. The theme among them was the severe lack of organization, both organizationally (leadership roles) and functionally (activities). Clearly there are many changes Cahil can implement to increase BoldFlash’s organization structure. With adjustment to a few basic concepts – division of labor, coordination mechanism, and distribution of decision rights – Cahil can increase BoldFlash’s productivity. Division of Labor can be simplified into how roles are defined within the BoldFlash. One of the issues that Cahil came across was marketing’s authority. Marketing specialist’s roles were never clearly defined, therefore it became difficult to get other departments to adhere to marketing’s planning.
