1.0 IntroductionTesla is a multinational electric auto company that is based in the USA. The company isheadquartered in Palo Alto, California. Tesla is involved in the manufacturing process ofenvironmentally friendly energy related products such as electric vehicles, solar panels, electricbattery, solar roof tiles etc. As of 2020, Tesla has a dominant lead in the EV market with a strongmarket share of 23% of the pure EV car market and 16% of the plug-in hybrid vehicles. Tesla isalso a major manufacturer and installer of photovoltaic systems across the US through itssubsidiary Tesla Energy. The company was founded by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning onJuly, 2003. It’s the one of the largest suppliers of clean energy globally with more than 3 (GWh)of energy installations already delivered in 2020 (Tesla Inc, 2021.). The name Tesla was derivedfrom the famous inventor, Nikola Tesla as a tribute. By February 2004, Elon Musk became thecompany’s Chairman and also owned a large stake in the company. As of 2008, he finallybecame CEO and took Tesla to new heights and made the company a household name that it istoday. Tesla has since reached many milestone and is a champion of sustainable energy as thecompany has managed to deliver commercially viable electric vehicles that are capable ofcompeting directly with fossil fuel cars. Tesla vehicle ranges spans from sedans to trucks. Someof the company’s best products includes, the Roadster, the Model S, the Model Y etc. Tesla hasbeen expanding its manufacturing production in US, China and Germany with its Gigafactory.There are plans to expand into South-East Asia particularly in the business and manufacturingfriendly ASEAN bloc. The following report will address the entry of MNC i.e. Tesla intoMalaysia for the manufacturing of its electric vehicles and then to export overseas.2.0 Marketing ObjectivesMarketing goals are a brand's stated goals. They define the marketing team's objectives, offerclear instructions for team members, and support material for executives. Marketing objectivesare an essential component of any marketing plan (Mangram, 2012).Here three of Tesla’s marketing objectives will be discussed.One of the main reasons for Tesla's success is its emphasis on offering the greatest possiblecustomer experience. When you go to a vehicle dealership, you usually have to deal with a
sleazy salesman who is attempting to make as much money as possible off of your purchase.
