Unformatted text preview: The Gulf war http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/gulf/ This site initially drawn my attention due to it is PBS which is a well known creditable source. Then when I went into more detail the site has very vivid stories of peoples accounts and has a lot of general information. While exploring the website I came across Rick Atkinson, author of Crusade: The Untold Story of the Persian Gulf War. On this website he gives an interview and he tells about the Gulf war, one of the most interesting things that I found from his interview was how many times Saddam messed up and miscalculated. I found it very interesting that during operation desert storm, soldiers who where trying to find their bearings in the desert landscape relied on handheld GPS receivers. I also did know how much the defense system relies on technology wither its using GPSs or satellites....
