WEEK 3 CASE STUDY2Week 3 Case StudyThe Woodson Foundation, is a renowned non-profit social service agency, is workingalong side public school system in Washington, D.C., in order to advance in the areas of studenttruancy, low student performances and crime on school grounds.After months of discussionswith Washington, D.C., School district and Woodson Foundation, they have agreed the course ofaction that is to create a new agency that will utilize the resources of both entities.The WoodsonFoundation will provide the program development, logistical support and staff for measurement.The school system will be responsible for providing classroom space and to staff the school withteachers.Part I: Group DevelopmentIn the case study, the Woodson Foundation is accountable for building formal teams thatwill perform evaluations in order to determine areas to improve in student attendance, truancyand increase the graduation rate.According to the book this stage for both entities is todetermine if they have the adequate resources needed to meet the over goal.The WoodsonFoundation offers resources in the form of money and people (formal teams), while the publicschool system of Washington, D.C., offer resources in the form of classrooms and people(teachers).
