CCS 101 Essay #2: DUE: Monday, OCT 14 -- at 11am in lecture 700-800 words. Write word count at end of essay. The readings from Unit Two all examine cinematic experience via specific technological devices, notable architectural forms, or other definitive conditions of spectatorship. For Essay #2 select one or two readings assigned in Unit Two and write an essay of 700-800 words using your chosen text/s to offer an answer to the question: What is cinematic experience? Your answer should be a persuasive argument that is based on the text/s rather than on generalizations, unfounded claims, or personal opinion. Stay within the historical context of Unit 2 (do not refer to current technologies). Your essay should concisely highlight the central ideas and relevant details of the text/s you choose. More importantly, your essay should actively interpret and explicate the text/s. Do not simply summarize the text/s. Note: Additional research is not necessary. The "precinematic" examples from Unit Two can be considered forms of "cinematic experience."

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
