Course title: The Strategist Course number: MGMT-GB.2313.20 or MGMT-GB.2313.30 Meeting time: Wednesdays 1:30pm-4:20pm (Section 20) or 6:00pm-9:00pm (Section 30) Educational Goal The goal of this course is to improve our ability to think and act as strategists. We will develop a particular view of what it means to be a strategist and we will practice being strategists of this type. The Premise In this course, we define a strategist to be someone who asks questions --- but not just any questions in any fashion. The strategist recognizes that the way people, organizations, businesses, and other entities act depends importantly on the assumptions they make about how the world is or could be. The strategist asks questions about the validity of these assumptions. The strategist realizes that if our assumptions are invalid, we may fail to see opportunities or fail to see threats that are in front of us. Strategists, under this view, think and talk in terms such as current assumption , working hypothesis , provisional knowledge , and similar.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
