WELCOME TO BUSINESS LAW In this course, you will be introduced to the terminology and foundations of business law. We will survey the major doctrines, principles, and rules of business law and study the following areas of law in some depth: torts, contracts, property (including bailments as well as intellectual property), agency, administrative and antitrust law, international law, and forms of business organization. We will also explore the relationship between business and the law with respect to ethics and social responsibility. Our goal is to gain a working knowledge of the practical rules of law and legal terminology as well as the ability to spot important legal issues in a business context.
