Leadership Profile Paper 2 Leadership Profile Paper Starbucks is a publicly traded company, traded on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol SBUX. Starbucks is one of the leading coffee producing organizations in the world and facilitates the manufacturing, production, and sale of varying coffee, breakfast, snack, and other drink products through franchised store locations as well as exploits product and licensing trademarks through grocery stores and other national accounts. Starbucks is a global company and a leader in their respective industry that consistently sets trends and drums up creative, innovative products and services for their customers. Viable companies that exhibit longevity tend to have impeccable leadership skills and structures as well as diverse workforces who align their objectives with the vision of their respective organization. This paper will examine the traits and characteristics of Starbucks’ leadership structure as well as define business strategies that make Starbucks a household name and successful organization Comparing and Contrasting Common Leadership Starbucks truly believes in their established core values to foster success both now and for the future. According to Starbucks website, the numbers are driven by the leaders who express the same values of the company (Starbucks, 2013). The mission of the organization provides insight into the values of the organization. Starbucks sets the example for a retail business based in the community that focuses on social responsibility. The Starbucks organization is a fine representation of a corporation that engages in social leadership responsibility - not only in the community; but across the globe. Starbucks’ website discusses annual reports as well as emphasizes company beliefs in detail.
