Brandon Moczygemba December 4, 2006 SSK Mrs. Riggs. Criminal Justice There are many job opportunities in the criminal justice field but the one that interests me the most is being a police officer, preferably of a big metropolitan city. Even more specifically, I would eventually like to be a member of a S.W.A.T. team, mainly because the work looks incredibly interesting to me. To have a long and successful career in the field that interests me the most, there are several important factors. The first key is probably interest. I believe that if you are not interested in your job you will not be as effective as the people that are interested. Another factor that is important in the life of police work is physical fitness. To become a member of the Dallas S.W.A.T. team, you must exhibit proficient weapon skills. You must also be able to run 3 miles in less than 25 minutes, followed immediately by doing at least 30 consecutive push ups, no less than 60 consecutive sit ups, and at least 5 pull ups. And the final factor to having a successful career being a police officer is education. For my degree I need at least 72 hours of basic studies, along with over 45 hours of 1
