Unit 4 Assignment (Your Eating Style) 1. Chapter 1 introduces some of the factors that influence our food choices (p. 4 - 7). A) Choose TWO of the factors identified in your textbook that affect your eating behavior MOST OFTEN. B) GIVE AN EXAMPLE of how each factor affects what and/or how much you eat. (2 points) Part A: 1. Taste 2. Social Trend. Part B: 1. if I do not like how the food taste, then I will not eat it even if it is healthy for me. Fish for example, I know it is good to eat and contains several nutrients; however I refuse to eat fish. 2. My wife and I are both skinny and fit, so when one is eating more than the other we will notice that and inform each other that we are eating too much. Most of my friends are active and love to eat sports. However, when we are hanging out together one night, we tend to eat less healthy foods, and more fast foods. 2. Which of the following statements best describes you? (choose your answer and delete the rest) (1 point) d) Usually I eat when I’m hungry, stop when I’m almost full, and allow myself to eat foods I enjoy 3. A) Discuss at least TWO (2) things you discovered about your eating patterns and/or food choices as a result of keeping a 3-day food record. B) Were you surprised by any of your behaviors? Why or why not? (2 points) Part A: I consume more calories during dinner time than both breakfast and lunch. With being a full time student and full time working, I don’t have much time to prepare a good breakfast or lunch that are filled with the recommended nutrients. Most evenings I am at my apartment by dinner time. I have more time to weigh my options and cook a meal that will both taste well and be healthy for me.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
