Performance Appraisals2Performance appraisals can be defined as the process for which an employee is evaluated. Feedback is usually provided to the employee that entails actions plans and goals. The feedback given is geared to improve the employee’s job performance or skills. Performance appraisals normally consist of a raise, promotion, or bonus to reward those that have met their target based on the appraisal. Management typically uses these reviews to assist with job appointments for promotions, or transfers (Youssef, 2012).I have been with my current employer for a year. Being that my employer does not evaluate job performance I don’t think they have a fair way to give raises other than tenure. This
