How do you see advocacy services changing within the next 10 years? Explain why. The term advocacy means the ability of influencing individuals to create change. The mere lifeblood of this "change" is simply good strategic communications and having people educated regarding a specific need and then motivating them to meet that need. A particular need would be to establish a long-term goal that is clear, specific, achievable, able to be measured, and have a time element on it at the beginning of the advocacy work involved. I would say that Third World countries may be one of the areas where advocacy groups come into being, because here in the United States we have things under pretty good control. Third World countries such as those in certain parts of Asia and the Eastern European countries have high levels of disease and human rights' issues, so to my mind they would be the next to fall into line with a cry for advocacy groups to be around in the prevention of discrimination,
