PHS 184 LAB C Ms. Jessica Russel 5 March 2007 Lab #6 Report 1. The mean value for the full vision group is 13.9 seconds. The mean value for the one-eye group is 6.3 seconds. The mean value for the blind-folded group is 2.2 seconds. 2. Mean values for Full Vision, One-eye Open, and Blindfolded Balance Times 0 5 10 15 Full Vision One Eye Open Blindfolded Conditioned Preformer Balance Time (seconds) 3. The group/condition performer that preformed the best, or had the longest balance time, was the full vision group. 4. The full vision group preformed better than the blindfolded group. When comparing the means the full vision group was able to hold their balance 11.7 seconds longer than the blindfolded groups. This is mainly due to the role of sensory feedback in movement control. Vision is a big source for feedback information for your body. Vision helps you detect your body’s position in space. Without your vision it is harder to keep balance because you no longer have your
