1. Evaluation of existing interfaces and technologies
Having considered our existing interfaces and technologies, it was discovered
that task analysis is one of the tools that can be used during the “define” stage
of the Design thinking process.
The most frequent deliverable of a task analysis activity is a diagram explaining
the steps that a user must take in order to complete a goal.
We can depict the actions taken by the users (or some system) to help them
achieve their goals. Once we have laid all the steps out, we were then in a
position to see where additional user support is required,

we might wish to automate some actions that the user currently undertakes, or
eliminate unnecessary steps, in order to minimize the number of actions that a
user has to undertake, unassisted.
2. Design aspects
Design is not just about the object created, but also about the way that
creation makes us feel, think, or learn. It’s about the human response to the
things we make for everyone.
Users of our design will feel that a design is intuitive when it is based on
principles from other domains that are well known to them.
Here is where our design carefully derived knowledge of the target audience
for our product and for our services comes into play. By capitalising on what
principles are likely to be present due to the target audience’s culture, industry
background, etc., a designer can deliver a product or service that users can take
to without having to hesitate and wonder how they can execute an action.
3. Your design
Creating beautiful design is about more than inspiration or a great idea, it’s
about understanding the fundamentals of the subject.
