Describe and define the component stages of the project lifecycle from initial conception to
commissioning or hand over. You should include an explanation of how to engage with project
sponsors and gain organisational support for the project through the presentation of a business case.
You should ensure that you clearly identify and present the fundamentals that contribute to a
business case.
Discuss a range of standard project management approaches, and assess how an example project
of your choice will be managed to fit in with operational management activities.
