Payne-Mora 1 Tricia Payne-Mora Robin Harill English&102 # 3568 May 17th 2015 Research Paper Proposal In my research paper I hope to help anyone who is getting ready to vote, gather information, or do research in the political field. Media can be especially difficult to navigate, with all the different forms of bias hidden or obviously exposed in the text. In writing this paper, I want to show readers that there are definitely problems in journalism, circling the different forms of bias that are influencing readers in their research. In my research I have narrowed down to eight main types of bias. I will focus on these forms of bias. I want to help readers expose what to look for in order to detect bias, and how to use that at your advantage in the reader’s future research. My thesis, or my topic will state that bias media can be avoided with careful consideration of sources, and comparing information against alternative media. I will be able to research information to put in my paper, by circling back to the main topic or question. The idea
