Foot in the door: This seems like constant technique used in our house by my oldest child. They always tend to start out small in hopes of getting the yes response from dad/mom and then an hour later they are going after something bigger than the last request. My son Dylan, on Monday asked me for directions to a friend’s house since we had moved locations, which I gave him. Then he turned around and asked me to walk with him just a little bit of the way to make sure he didn’t lost. Next thing I know, I had walked him all the way to his friend’s house. Door in the face: This was used on my husband and me the other day. We attended a charity event for my husband’s employment. We had made prior arrangements and already made a large donation to the organization with combined funds with all the people in his unit. However, at the event there were people going around asking for donations. We were asked, “Will you donate 100 for the charity?” We of course said, no and explained we already had made a donation prior to coming. The lady then replied, Oh.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
