Home Art #3 2. Schubert’s The Erlking Schubert used a “Through-composed” form in which it was extremely robust and complex. Schubert wrote new music for each stanza and allowed the music to reflect each changing mood in his complex form. As his music was an art song, it was linked with poetry and a story. In order to better portray the poem, the music follows the moods of the poem. Without following the tension and resolutions of the story line, it may have actually had a much simpler form. 6. The Aviator (2004) a. This movie is about Howard Hughes, a man who makes fortune after fortune in several different enterprises. Hughes becomes successful and powerful as a Hollywood film producer. Hughes' also branched into industry after industry, including aviation in 1932 (including TWA Airlines), and during WWII, defense, leading to the creation of the (infamous) Spruce Goose, a flying boat of immense size.
