Normal Approx Justification We can use a normal approximation in this problem because every worker has the same probability of quitting, so the curve is naturally bell shaped and normal approximations can be used. Assumption comments Some people tend to quit more easily than other people, so there is doubtfully a flat quitting percentage of 2.8% for everyone. 5/12/2009
