Unformatted text preview: Company's liability The privacy protections established will limit the company’s liability. "Most people think if it's wrong, it's got to be illegal," (Finkin, 2002). The more privacy protections there are, the more beneficial it is for the company. People tend to believe that since the government cannot look into their computer, their employer cannot either. Government jobs are one of the few jobs that do have certain limitations on what they can do in a privacy protection plan. Most privacy protection plans are around to let the employee’s know of their rights as employees. One of the largest abused policy’s in the matter of privacy is that of internet usage. The ability to monitor ones internet allows the company to see exactly how much time is being wasted on personal use of internet. The less information the company has on its employee’s, the more liable they are in internet....
