  Ethics Profile       2 Ethics Awareness Profile When dealing with the word ethics people tend to sometimes get confused with the real meaning of ethics and what it stands for. According to David B. Resnik, J.D., Ph.D. he says, “When most people think of ethics, or morals, they think of rules for distinguishing between right and wrong, such as the Golden Rule ‘Do unto others as you would have them do unto you’ ”. (2007) People feel many different ways about ethics. Some people feel that ethics is about doing what they think is right or wrong. Other people feel that ethics is their religious belief or even doing what is right or wrong because of the law. No one can truly say what ethics really are. People will always have their different opinions about ethics. However, ethics have been able to be broken down into four different groups which are: Character, obligation, results and equity.
