SMARTPHONE USE IN THE CLASSROOM2Smartphone Use in the Classroom.7thJune 2019.Mayor Bill de Blasio,City Hall,New York, NY 10007.Dear Mayor de Blasio,RE: REMOVAL OF SMARTPHONES USE BY STUDENTS IN CLASSI am here by writing to discuss the issue of the use of smartphones in schools in NewYork City, especially the use of the iPhone by students. This has become extremely rampantin society at large and people need to be given solutions to eradicate the use of the iPhone inschool (Barnwell, 2016).We are observing our children’s behaviors from using these devicesand they are not that appealing. A child can be distracted from the time they reach home fromschool by locking themselves up in their rooms and gluing their eyes on the iPhone screensinstead of doing their homework or helping out with house chores. We do not want ourchildren to be contaminated with eye or brain problems that is why we need yourintervention on this matter, Mr. De Blasio (Twenge, 2018).
