May 21, 2015 Michelle Bishop A grant proposal for human services is a written presentation of a program plan. This plan details how the applicant will approach the identified need or problem with their proposed course of actions. There are many important factors that should be included when writing a grant proposal. It should be correctly planned and organized in accordance with the requirements of the Request for Proposal (RFP). The grant proposal should be outlined and include the statements of the organization’s goals, objectives, activities and evaluation methods. The programs complete purpose and the importance of the program must be clearly detailed. The

Elements that show the viability of the plan and program such as scheduling, staffing requirements, organizational capacity and structure, and long-term planning should be substantiated. The organization’s budget and financial condition must be made known. All funders, including corporate, government and private funders have the capacity to begin and maintain human service programs.
