How should I review for the test? Each test is non-cumulative (i.e., based only on the modules covered immediately prior to the exam [modules 1 -3, 4-6, and 7-9]) and will consist of two main sections: 1. vocabulary: you will be asked to identify the meaning of words that have appeared in the vocabulaire section of each module and/or complete a paragraph by filling in the appropriate words based either on their English translation and/or compose a short paragraph using a list of words provided to you; you should review, in particular, those boldfaced words you’ve highlighted on your vocabulary sheets (their spelling, meaning, and gender [if nouns]). 3. grammar: you will fill-in and/or partially translate into French sentences that have already appeared in the grammaire section of each module—either as example sentences in the “analysis “ part or sentences in the activities that follow; you should review, in particular, those sentences in which your original analysis or response was problematic for one reason for another.
