Brody, Jane E.An Underappreciated Key to College Success: Sleep. 13 August 2018.Buboltz, Walter C., et al. “Sleep Habits and Patterns of College Students: A Preliminary Study.”Journal of American College Health(2001): 131-135.Buboltz, Walter, et al. “Sleep Habits and Patterns of College Students: An Expanded Study.”Journal of College Counseling(2009): 113-123.Flood, Jessica, et al. “The Impact of Sleepiness Levels on Academic Achievement for CollegeStudents.”Undergraduate Research Journal for the Human Sciences(2008).This source is in the form of a study about sleepiness and its relation to GPA. This studyalone presents that GPA and sleepiness are not related. However, they point out that that does notmean that in real life GPA and the lack of sleep do not correlate. This source does seem to be reliable as it is from a journal relating to human sciences. The study is twelve years old so it is not as current as it could be. It is different from my othersource in the relation of sleep deprivation and how it effects academics. This study looks at theother side of it. The goal was to show if GPA and sleepiness are related and the goal is achievedfor the purpose of this source. This is a peer reviewed source. This will help shape my argument because there will always be people that say sleep doesnot affect academics. In this case, this lone study suggests that. However, the source goes intodetail about how we cannot conclusively say that sleep deprivation and GPA is not related at all.I plan to use this source to show that even though one study says sleepiness and GPA are notrelated, other factors are needed to know for certain. This source has not changed how I think. Ithink it was a little too scholarly, as it was somewhat hard to follow.I would give this source a five star for credibility. I would give it a five star for relevance.
