Objective
 To demonstrate the transient response of RC and RL circuits. The circuits will be built on
PSpice computer simulation software and the source-free and step response will be
investigated.
Theory
A capacitor is an electrical element that stores energy in the form of an electric field. An inductor
is an electrical element that stores energy in the form of a magnetic field. Once charged by a
power source, a capacitor or inductor can function as a temporary power source itself, until its
charge is depleted. The action of charging a capacitor or inductor is known as step response.
