Being ready to take that step is even more important in obtaining success in a post-secondary education. Charles Reed and Kristin Conklin discuss the importance of students beingready for college. They discuss college readiness and how it must be revised for students to beprepared to go to college. Reed and Kristin also highlight that the biggest struggle in assuring ahigh school student is ready for college is that there is no clear cooperation and coordinationbetween high school curriculum and colleges. (Reed & Conklin 2005) Since the guidelines andthe curriculum varies from district to colleges there is no clear path on how to correlate the two.Reed and Conklin also discuss a testing system that has been put into place in a California school
