Let’s say that you want to show an algebraic fraction like Trying to do this with just the keyboard looks “weird” … x / (x + 3) and it invites mistakes (like not using the parentheses). x / x + 3 means which is something completely different! 3 x x 3 x x

The next time you type in the Rich Text Box, take a look at the tool bar. You will see a smiley face. To the right of the smiley face is an f x button. That f x button is the equation editor. It’s no coincidence that it’s next to a big smile!

When you click on the equation editor a new window like this will open.

To create that fraction using the equation editor, click on the fraction icon.

When you hover over the fraction, 20 different mathematical symbols appear. If you’re not familiar with a symbol, don’t worry. You probably won’t need to use it!
