Diet Evaluation Results: LipidsThe Dietary Guidelines suggest that we consume 25-35% of our daily calories as fat.While I was tracking my diet, 31% of my total calories were from fat. I was within therecommendations, but I was on the higher end of the range. It is also recommended that we limitour saturated fat intake to less than 10% of our total kcalories. 13.75% of my total kcaloriesconsisted of saturated fats. Considering that is ideal for our saturated fat intake to be less 7% ofour total kcalories, I’m much higher above this recommendation than I would like. I need to lookfor foods containing less saturated fat to replace the more fatty foods that are currently in mydiet. I consumed 230mg of cholesterol, which is below the recommendation of less than 300mgper day. However, it is important to note that I was below my necessary calories for the day.
