The army When I met my wife (Lisa) in the year 2000 in upstate New York in the city of Glens Falls, that’s when everything changed. I knew she was the one I was going to stay with the rest of my life, yes we had are up’s and down but for the next three to 11 years was going to be different, I just felt something was going to be exciting about this last marriage. For the first three years we had a great time getting to know each other, we had good jobs together working at printing companies. Lisa always knew a lot of things about cooking when I did not but of course she was from Orlando. We did everything together from drinking to fishing, Lisa always caught the biggest one. I don’t know how but she did. I went through a lot of other jobs from maintence to short order cooks. I got tired of all of this and thought about the army, well I tried the air force first they would not take

Unformatted text preview: me I was too old so the army was the only one that was going to take me. I was 34 and I had three months to get in before they said no after 35 you can’t get in. I tried very hard to lose some weight and I did it. I went off to FT SILL training base for 8 weeks but we didn’t know it was going to be 12 weeks because of MOS school after basic training. Well I finished everything that was in training, I couldn’t believe it at my age I did everything that the younger guys could do. I was so excited that I lost so much weight also. Lisa and I moved to FT DRUM, New York, when we got there I went to my unit. I was so nervous when I got there I didn’t know what to expect, I learned to be so disaplined...
