The world is going through the inevitable process where technology is playing a major role in our lives. The evidence of this process can found in the increasing popularity of the social media platforms as well as the dominance of technological giants, such as companies like Apple, in our lives. The use of technology is not likely to disappear, so the battle against using it is probably lost. However, while parents and educators will not be able to stop the children from using technology, the parents especially have a big role in how their kids consume it. During my childhood, I did not have all of the gadgets available at the time and so I had to find other activities to occupy myself. Today many kids are able to constantly use technology because their parents allow them to. For example, a kid can play over 40 hours of video games a week, equivalent to a full time job, because his parents provided him with a comfortable sofa, big television, and game console with games.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
