Voir dire is essentially how the courts properly select potentional jurors for a jury team. Thisprocess includes questioning to find out if each person is properly suited for the role of a juror.Properly screening each individuals is very important in order to offer a fair trail. Bias toward adefendant will not and be tolerated as a member of a juror team.This process is typically conducted by the lawyers in order to ensure fairness. Questioning willcan consist of determining possible bias along with the background of the individual that couldpossible influence a jurors overall decision.Pretemorary strikes of jurors are meant to eliminate jurors who are considered to be influencedor unable to make fair and honest judgement. These strikes are however limited. Discetuonarystrikes are allotted to lawyers in order for them to remove a juror due to knowledge that couldpossibly affect fairness in the trail.
