ENGL/GSWS 96 Final Review ENGL/GSWS 96: Feminist Theory Final Review The final exam will be on Thursday, May 7, 9:00-11:00 am, in College Hall 200 . Below is a description of the content and form of the exam. No books or notes will be allowed during the exam ; the only thing you should bring is a pen. Content : The midterm will cover all readings and lectures from 3/17/2015-4/21/2015: Crenshaw, Brown, Warner, Spade, Halberstam, Chase, Dreger and Herndon, Garland Thomson, Shih, Hong, Kapur, Sinha, Rastegar, Ahmed. As in the midterm, in order to do well you should be able to demonstrate understanding of the key terms, concepts, and quotations included in assigned reading and presented in the lectures. Some Terms, Concepts, and Authors for review Sex-Gender System ideology consciousness raising liberal v. radical feminism empiricism epistemology repressive hypothesis anatamopolitics and biopolitics convergentist v. divergentist feminism identity politics essentialism white privilege (2 components = unearned advantage + conferred dominance)
