To complete the unit requirements safely and effectively, this assessment task relates to the following
learning outcomes:
 discuss the basic principles behind open platform programming
 describe client-side scripting and its application to dynamic web page design, including:
o events and event handlers
o internet operation related to servers and clients
o internet protocols
o standard generalised markup language (SGML)
o associated standards
 identify and outline, security restrictions on servers
 describe the difference between server-side and client-side scripting
 describe the standards associated with programming documentation.
Assessment Task Description:
 This is the first unit assessment task you have to successfully complete to be deemed competent
in this unit of competency.
 The Unit Knowledge Test comprises of five written short and long questions.
 You must respond to all questions and submit them to your Trainer/Assessor.
 You must answer all questions to the required level, e.g. provide the number of points, to be
deemed satisfactory in this task
 You will receive your feedback within two weeks - you will be notified by your Trainer/Assessor
when results are available.
Applicable Conditions:
 All knowledge tests are untimed and are conducted as open book tests (this means you can refer
to your textbook during the test).
