Force policy use was observed as a measure to control thelevel of force used by officers when trying to subdue the subject unwillingly. The studies on thismajor subject have revealed that other techniques of training are more effective in comparison toothers. Research findings also proposes that it is the experience of the interconnection that aremost likely to be linked with the force decisions use. Henceforth, succeeding studies shouldCentre on the officer training as well as obtain experience.Use of Force PolicyThe use of force is an important aspect of policing and one of the most disputed matter inthe process of law enforcement. The use of force became eminent when this profession wasstandardized making it universal. As the employment of use of force became more common,there was evidence of important decisions in favor using force cases.The primary designnecessary for use of force policy contains two components which are the training or educationand the policy. These policy aspect components contain numerous guidelines’ that are required tobe adhered to in the interactions concerning the use of force. Despite disparity in the guidelinedue to differentiation in departments, these guidelines serve a significant role in guiding theofficers how to gain control over a situation, de-escalate, interact as well as the situationapproach.
3Theaspect of training of use of force nessesitates real-world exersies, de-escalationtraining, trainig exercises, weapons and in-class lectures. The real-pworld exercises haverevealed many possible benefits as they try to match the real world interactions and situationsencountered by the officers.De-escalation training which is a new trend implies understandingand training in behaviour as well as tactics in negotiations in order to surge the intense situations.Also the weapons traininginvolves employment of all forms of force as well as practice:lethaldevices, non- lethal devices, verbal and hand-to-hand. In-class lectures contains priorunderstanding on the use of force as well as the philosophy surrounding it and learning the use offorce spectrum.Nevertheless, the duration of training officers as well as quality of the trainingdiffers in comparison to the agency or department. Majority of the policies stresses only on theuse of force training in comparison to anything else.
