2 Historic Holman Stadium is located on busy Amherst Street right off of Main Street in downtown Nashua, New Hampshire. It is in an older neighborhood in the northern part of the city. On one side of the parking lot is an elementary school and on the other side a neighborhood. It was constructed in 1937, and it was originally home of the Nashua Dodgers baseball team, whose players included baseball greats Roy Campanella and Don Newcombe. Today it is the home of the Nashua Pride, an independent league professional baseball team. I feel like Holman Stadium was located right off of Main Street so it wouldn’t make the downtown so busy and congested, but it would still give it easy accessibility from downtown. They could have selected numerous different locations since Nashua has progressed a lot since 1937; back in 1937 they had an abundance of open land and they could have put it anywhere but they decided to keep it near the center of Nashua. The stadium has multiple entrances to get into the stadium or for parking at the stadium, which happens to be free for the Pride fans. One can come from Main Street, the highway, or go through a local neighborhood to get to the stadium. This makes access in and out of the stadium fairly simple. Even though it is in a fairly easy spot to find, Holman has signs letting you know how to get there with good signs located on the highway and Main Street. Holman Stadium has been around since 1937, but looking at the stadium you would say otherwise. In 2002, they completely renovated the park by adding nicer seats, luxury suites, and basically made the stadium look brand new. The park sends a message of new beginnings because it’s an old

They do this by having retired numbers and plaques giving their respects and also hanging up old jerseys in the luxury suites. This historic stadium has been a field for not only the Pride, but many other
